After a successful visit to RESERVOIR “H” and with plenty of time left, we headed for a well known rooftop. The building in question has recently been renamed and is undergoing some major development work adding 6 extra floors to the lofty 31 as it currently stands to make way for 173 luxury apartments for which people will pay a minimum of £2.4 million to enjoy these views.
This was a particularly windy night, I wanted to climb the crane as I usually do to get some extra high views but watching the crane sway a good couple of feet each way changed my mind. Getting atop this panoramic vista took some working out, internal core stairs had been demolished in places for the redevelopment so we had to keep changing tactics. There was a rickety scaffold staircase up the external of the building which we had no option but to use for part of our breathtaking ascent.
