This reservoir dates back to 1868, owned by Thames Water and capable of holding 5 million gallons of water to supply the homes of North Londoners now lies empty and disused due to fears of weaknesses in it’s structure.
It suddenly dawned on me that it had been at least a couple of months since I’d got myself out exploring, with Christmas approaching and lots of other things to get done, exploring was unintentionally put on a bit of a back burner. With Christmas and New Year done and dusted, I got talking to some good friends who I hadn’t seen for a while and decided to head up to London for an evenings exploring with Nobby. The weather had been bad for weeks and we had a break from the relentless downpours for just a day.
We met up and headed underground to this vast space. These images are from a couple of visits, the first I took shots of the reservoir itself and the second (this visit), I played around with lighting and people.
